Labcorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Maintenance/Facilities team in Tampa, FL. The electrician position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical power, lighting, and control systems in buildings, following blueprints and codes, and using testing devices to troubleshoot issues like faulty wiring, circuits, transformers, and fixtures, ensuring safety and functionality for a commercial lab workplace. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, with rotating evenings and weekends for on-call purposes Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Job Responsibilities Set up and fix wiring, lighting, control systems, and fixtures using hand and power tools Conduct routine inspections, testing, and cleaning of electrical components. Diagnose and resolve electrical issues and malfunctions using various testing equipment. Interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to plan work. Ensure all work meets state and local building regulations, including the National Electrical Code. Assist other trades when necessary to accomplish the goals and requirements of the facilities team Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent Relevant degree from a trade school is preferred 3 years of experience in a similar electrician position preferred Valid Florida State Electricians licensure required BAS and CMMS systems knowledge Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems Strong computer and data entry skills Excellent communication skills; both written and oral Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Flexibly to travel to other locations within the region Possess a valid driver’s license Ability to lift 50lbs If you're looking for a career that offers opportunities for growth, continual development, professional challenge and the chance to make a real difference, apply today!
