About this role

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience for the GS-13 is one year (52 weeks) of experience at the GS-12 level or equivalent, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: - Applying analytical and evaluative techniques in a work environment to support debt collection efforts. (i.e. analyze new information technologies or current methods in support of reengineering business processes); AND - Experience consulting with, making recommendations to, and implementing solutions for management level staff; AND - Leading studies relevant to organizational goals focused on debt collection and policy and laws; In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. Major Duties: - As a Management and Program Analyst, you will: Work closely with the branch manager and team members to develop and implement programs utilizing the Treasury Report on Receivables and Debt Collection Report (TROR) submitted from Federal Program Agencies. Conduct independently, or in a team setting, studies related to the reporting, collections, disbursements, debt collection, government-wide accounting, debt management, and other related data of the United States Government using appropriate analysis tools for the purpose of improving operational efficiency, reporting capabilities, and other business objectives. Serve as an authority responsible for performing operations analysis on issues which require broad expertise and coordination. Conduct and/or coordinate a variety of projects to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of program administrative and operational policies and procedures related to the mission of the organization. Develop and coordinate new and/or revised policies and management methods for senior management review and evaluate program administration and achievement of management objectives to ensure compliance with pertinent regulations and policy guidance.
